Default Help me with my vacation

Hey I'm planning my honey moon and had a few questions/concerns. Since guild wars players are the most credible people on the internet I decided to post them here:

All inclusive Carribean shit- Is this a scam or is this legit?

Concern 1: Paying for an all inclusive package then finding out its not as ALL inclusive as you think and having to pay fees, passports, randoms stuff I can't think of. Anyone ever been screwed by this?

Concern 2: I heard the internet will try to steal my identity. Can anyone reccomend some credible online sites to buy / shop around on?

Concern 3: Is the stuff they include crap? Do they make it all inclusive with nice pictures then you get there and find out the room is gay, the food is terrible and the beach is a half hour walk and full of razor blades and dirty needles and etc...

Concern 4: Book online or talk to a travel agent?

Concern 5: Leaving the country. Hows the culture?I dont wanna get into a drug war/rebelion/robbed or have my luggage stolen

Thats all I can think of anyone who has been there could be a huge help.

First you will need to get your passport on your own--that is NOT included in ANY cruise package (and you will need to do this at least 6-8 weeks prior to leaving on your trip to give the gov't time to process it).

all inclusive does not include tips or anything you want to buy (or the photos they take when you get on the ship et al).

some of the cruise lines are ok, some are [email protected]...

security on the internet to me is an oxymoron, though you can take steps to try to make it harder for peeps to get your information (if they really want it, they will get it). Buying on the internet is ok if you take precautions (I usually use paypal so I am not putting any info out there really).

If you feel better find a travel agent, at which time they can tell you what is a good deal (within reason) as well as what is included, what is extra, which destinations are to be avoided and which beaches are nice----you do NOT need to book with them even after they give you this information (you are under no obligations).

Do some research on the places you are going...you can always contact the gov't and find out if they have any alerts for areas you might plan on traveling to. Google will help you find stuff out about just about any place in the world.
